Growing education infrastructure
First middle school enhancement 2016
In 2016, our Partner village took steps to establish a permanent home for it Middle school, as a prior facility had to be abandoned.
The project began a a re-purposing effort whereby buildings that used to house the village library, school offices and a dormitory were converted to class space.
Knowing this class space was insufficient, the community was anxious to expand the campus into new class room buildings. Our partnership stepped into provide significant funding for this initiative to proceed. It was in this effort to grow infrastructure that the partnership also sought to expand avenues of reaching out to sympathetic donors, including incorporating under a 501(c3) not-profit.
The operation of the Partnership continues to be connected as a ministry team at the Congregational Church of Needham, where many members have partaken in delegations to the village, and maintain a family-to-family correspondence relationship (see Partner Families).
